Andy and I are heading to sunny Austin, Texas for five days of panels, keynote discussions, training opportunities, informal gatherings, and breakfast tacos. Streamline your writing for any medium

Christine Kent’s article, “Fifteen tips for making any document look and read better,” on Ragan.com caught my eye today as a great article for all writers - from beginner to expert. I see a lot of articles out there about writing tips and how-to’s, but I think this one really encapsulates not only the tips, but also the reasons why. The tricks that good writers use are always designed to make their story easier to read and more interesting.

Takin’ it to the streets

If you’re not wasting enough time reading Facebook boozemail messages or sending good karma, Google Maps now features “street view” for the Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh area. Simply search for a location and then click “Street view” link. Featured below: Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen on 1305 E. Franklin. Ummm… I can almost smell the chicken biscuits now…
